Gayndah Outback Citrus Tour - IN SEASON

Tour Description

This "Tour" is Special, visitors are not usually welcome to visit a working farm. Aside from it interferring with their precious working hours it can be a distraction to busy workers, with safety issues, having people wandering around. HOWEVER, Jo, has a special relationship with the Growers Family and is warmly welcomed, with her guests. The group accompanied by Jo, is hosted by the owners. The following list is some of what makes this Tour so Special. All-inclusive: Departure and Return – Bus departs from - Quay St Car Park, halfway down from the River Cruz Café where the all day/night parking is, near the Council toilets and Shelter Shed. Time: 7.15 am for a 7.30 am (Sharp) departure. Return: Approx 4.30pm • Tour departs Bundaberg in a comfortable air-conditioned bus. • Bottled water is provided. • Morning tea. • Our next stop will be a visit to a working farm. The owner will take us through the life of citrus fruit from growing to picking the fruit, washing and modern-day preparation for packing produce ready to travel to markets. The fruit is freighted in refrigerated trucks. • An “Outback delicious LUNCH”. • A short stroll around Gayndah before our next interesting stop.
